Mansa Diocesan Vicar General, Very Rev. Fr. Felix Mwelwa Chifumbe, has urged women of the Catholic Church to be proactive in ensuring that the local church is self-sustaining. Speaking when he presided over the Holy Mass to mark the closure of the 2023 Diocesan Women Rally held at St. Charles Lwanga Minor Seminary – BAHATI from 23rd to 27th August 2023, Fr. Chifumbe commended the women for the contribution they made to help the Bishop in the training of future priests. The women contributed slightly over K 100 000 as a supplement to the over K 400 000 already collected from the Parishes as Seminarian Fund.
