During the centenary celebration of Masanta Catholic Church on Sunday, the Bishop received 101 tree plants from government to mark 101 years of the existence of Masanta Primary School

Luapula Province Deputy Permanent Secretary graced the occasion as guest of honour on behalf of government. Other government officials included Chifunabuli District Commissioner and Chifunabuli Council Chairperson. The officials donated the 101 tree plants to be planted at Masanta Primary School to mark 101 years since it was built. The school was built by Fr. Jean Caulibalt of the Missionaries of Africa, popularly known as Fr. Kolibo, who also constructed the Church.
